Felids are animals that belong to family Felidae, which includes domestic and wild cats. From the rusty-spotted cat (1,5 kg) to tigers (300kg), these creatures vary greatly in size and are divided into 40 species spread throughout the world (except Australia and Antarctica). This family presents the largest diversity of fur patterns among carnivores. Felids can inhabit dense forests, arid regions, flooded plains, and even mountains.
